Peter B. Eckenberg, PhD : Chief Strategy Officer, Member of the Board

Peter is an experienced medical device executive who served in various roles at Bayer Diabetes Care including leading the technical and commercial development of the iSense CGM program (now known as WaveForm CGM) after the acquisition by Bayer in 2008. He led the carve-out of Bayer’s diabetes business to form what is now Ascensia Diabetes Care (ADC) and was most recently the Chief Transformation Officer at Tokyo-based PHC Group, the parent holding company of ADC. Peter brings with him a wealth of corporate experience and a strong network in the medical device and pharmaceutical industry. Peter received his Ph.D, in organic chemistry from the University of Göttingen and did post-doctoral fellowships at Nagoya University and Harvard University.
