Yobie Benjamin : Member of the Board

Yobie is a senior executive, angel investor, futurist, innovator and hands-on developer/architect in digital technologies, artificial intelligence, augmented reality, computer vision, enterprise systems, telecommunications, advanced materials, life sciences, IoT, fintech, sustainability and retail/consumer products.

He was co-founder, CTO then CTO Emeritus of Token.io - a leading innovator in payment initiation and data aggregation technology. Previously, Mr. Benjamin was Global CTO for Citibank and Chairman of Citi’s R&D Innovation & Learning Center. At Citi, he created the foundation for Apple Pay and Google Pay. Mr. Benjamin was a Partner and Chief of Global Strategy at Ernst & Young, LLP (now EY, LLP) for five years. He was on the US Federal Reserve’s Faster Payments Task Force. In 2022, as Board Member of Rev, Benjamin led the syndicate to take Netspend, a division of Global Payments from public to private in a $1B all-cash transaction.

The World Economic Forum named him as a 2015 Technology Pioneer. Benjamin is a professional speaker and part of the global TEDx community. He is a Digital Innovation Advisor to the UN’s World Food Programme. In 2020, the California Senate confirmed Benjamin as a Board Member of the California Healthcare Facilities Funding Authority.

Benjamin is an advisor to several startups, is a limited partner in multiple funds and on the board of several non-profits.
